Special tribute to Bach

It is already years since I finished my last works of Bach transcriptions. I was busy with all kinds of “simple” works, setting for string quartet with harp for our performances but all those are far from “real” transcriptions, I was just changing accompaniment for example to the great virtuoso piece “Tzigane” by Ravel, or the Four Seasons by Vivaldi.

It was also the time of the year when I am doing some gardening and finishing other works outside, however, I new I have to start practicing again and nothing is a better target than a new work of transcription.

As a Bach lover, I knew I have done all Bach works that are working well for the violin and couldn’t stop searching for something special that I could transfer for the violin in the wonderful barock style I love so much.

The melody of B-A-C-H I know since ever, Bach himself was also “playing” with and many composers did put open or secretely in their works (even my phone’s ringtone is my own version of it) but there is one absolutely amazing Fantasy and Fugue written by the revolutionare pianist composer, Franz Liszt. I couldn’t resist…

I just finished the scetch and making day by day still changes but the main idea is here and I am working on it to be able to record it as soon I am back from my next Concerts in Vienna.

I’ll keep you posted…
