This is a beautiful mix of the most well known melodies from R. Strauß’s famous Opera “Der Rosenkavalier”, for solo violin. Starting with the stormy love scene, going through the first act with some humorous, some melancholic parts, the ball scene from second act, and fiinishing with the gorgeous love duet and the short but fun ending of the opera. A very good main piece for a solo recital with about 15 minutes playing time. A technically challenging work with lot’s of double stops and chords, arpeggios and singing quality melodies.
