Army. Despite the reference to \u201cTyrol\u201d, the soldiers came from all parts of the monarchy. In 1815 Emperor Franz I ordered the establishment of an Emperor Hunter Regiment. The soldiers of this regiment were recruited by conscription. The period of service was initially 12 years, later 8 and then 6 years. In 1895 the staff was strengthened and the regiment was divided into four hunter regiments. These were given the designation Imperial and Royal 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Tyrolean Hunter Regiment &#8220;Kaiserjaeger&#8221;. The owner of the regiment was always the emperor himselfs, the second owners and the commanders were personally appointed by him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"580\" src=\"https:\/\/istrings.eu\/kaiserjaegerEN\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/kaiser.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39\" srcset=\"https:\/\/istrings.eu\/kaiserjaegerEN\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/kaiser.jpg 300w, https:\/\/istrings.eu\/kaiserjaegerEN\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/kaiser-155x300.jpg 155w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to the frequent changes of garrisons, which was common in Austria-Hungary, the units were located in southern, northern and western Tyrol, but also in Vienna. This means that today&#8217;s Original Kaiserjaeger are based in Vienna.
